More advanced and high end electronic drums produce the sound which can be said to be near as an acoustic drum set. Many sets are also come to the market which is reasonably priced and also have the high end features.

The different advantage the electronic drum set has over the acoustic set is it is not affected by the moisture. In an acoustic drum set you have the disadvantage of losing the sound effect once it gets damp. Electronic drum set renders you with different selection of sound and sound level. Manual tuning is always difficult. While in the case of electronic drum set it has various types of sound effects.

Once it was used by high professionals. But with the increase of industry these drums are available to every body in several price bands.
